It was a Boston take over…

Seriously, Frazier park was taken over today by a ton of crazy Boston Terriers. The sun was shining and the dogs were out. Basil had an amazing time and loved seeing all of his friends. We can’t wait until our next Boston terrier meet-up.

If you are in the Charlotte area and are in need of a good dog park check out Frazier Park. Large, clean, small dog area, and large dog area.

Life Lessons from Basil Part 1

You can learn a lot from your dog. Sometimes all you need to do is pay attention.
Today at the dog park Basil showed me that anything is possible.
After a good 45 minutes of running balls-to-the-wall with all his new puppy friends it was time to find the watering hole. Well, we were in the large dog area so the only water dishes were 5 gallon buckets. Knowing that these buckets are almost taller than my Boston terrier I went off in search of a Basil sized dish. I turned my back for a moment and when I got back I was amazed.
Basil had climbed up the side of the bucket to make himself tall enough to reach the water. I was pretty astonished! He saw what he wanted and he made it happen.

Sometimes I need to take a clue from my fur baby and try a little harder. It’s funny how life is.
Thanks Basil for being cute and amazing!

A Snowy Evening walk

Well, they said 6 to 10 inches of snow… That didn’t happen! We woke up this morning to clear roads and little bits of snowy yards. But last night was beautiful!

Last night Nate, Basil, and I went and visited my parents and on the walk back we got to enjoy a true peaceful winter wonderland.

Although our dreams of a full blown snow day with hot chocolate and sledding down our hill didn’t happen, some snow is better than no snow!

Hope you are doing well! Stay warm, stay safe, and stay happy!

A sorta snow day…

So last night and today the south and the east coast was hit with arctic temps and a mix of snow and ice. Although its been pretty cold here in North Carolina its nothing compared to what is happening in the Northeast. Places like Boston are getting hit super hard and have a ton of snow.

We woke up this morning with a thick layer of ice covering everything but little to no snow. This was probably a huge hassle for those who have to commute but for us work-from-homers it was a little be of a disappointment. We want snow! Fluffy beautiful snow! Enjoy these photos of our afternoon walk while I silently sing “Let it snow” to myself…

Basil’s Favorite Things — Pink Case NY

TGIF! This week has some how gone by super slow and ultra fast all at the same time. So much has been happening and we have been so very busy. On top of all of it Nate and I got new phones. That being fun, and exciting and all but that also means needing new accessories. My husband found his new case right away. It has everything that he enjoys which includes typography, and dinosaurs.

For me that search was a little more intense. I was looking everywhere online and after more than a few days of spending way to much time on the internet I found it.

The search came to an end on Etsy. The place where all unique, beautiful handmade items go to find their forever homes.  My fabulous new iPhone 6 plus case was found at Pink Case NY. It was perfect for me. With the combination of Starbucks, and an adorable Boston terrier, I was hooked!

My new phone case is not only super cute but really durable. The price was great (Just about $20!) and shipping was quick and easy. I highly recommend checking Pink Case NY on Etsy. They not only have Boston terrier cases but almost every dog breed under the sun. Also, if you are more of a cat/bunny/penguin/horse/sloth/bear person they have you covered too!

Tomorrow I’ll be posting about a few upcoming trips that we are really excited about. Hope you guys are enjoying your Friday!

The hardest rooting 12th dog in the game! Go Hawks!

In this house we are huge Seattle Seahawks fans! You may have realized that if you have been to this blog before, or visited our Instagram or Twitter acounts. Its in our blood; every member of this family bleeds blue & green! So that means we have two (vert fat) 12th cats and the hardest rooting 12th dog in the game!

That being said, all of us are very excited that come this Sunday we get to watch our beloved Hawks in their 2nd Superbowl in 2 years! #rePete So much that we have been getting ready ourselves. Hardest Rooting 12th dog in the game!

Basil has been sporting his 12th dog gear every waking moment in anticipation. I also threw the referee jersey on Sebastian in hopes that maybe that will give us some better luck with the refs this weekend. (You never know! It’s only crazy if it doesn’t work!) 12th cat and 12th dog!

So this Sunday we will be yelling and screaming for our Seattle Seahawks and hoping for them to come home with the W. Lets all hope for a clean, fair football game and let the best team win! 12th cat and 12th dog!

In closing I’ll leave you with the famous words of Bill Nye, Rainn Wilson, Chris Pratt, Macklemore, and Katy Perry… “GO HAWKS!”
